The Most Stylish Ski Chalet in Switzerland – Ultima Crans Montana

Why? As part of a Xmas press trip hosted by luxury travel group Preferred Hotels & Resorts, I was invited to the spectacular private chalet Ultima Crans Montana in the alpine region of Valais in Switzerland.
Ultima Crans Montana
With epic vistas stretching from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc the exclusive chalet boasts one of the most breathtaking views in the region.
The property comprises of two sumptuous chalets, the first can accommodate twenty guests in ten master suites and a kids loft dorm. The second boasts six elegant suites, a library and a cigar lounge.
The Interiors
The stunning interiors are the perfect blend of classic alpine traditions mixed with state of the art modern technology and decadent furnishings.
Imagine a Jame Bond villains lair merged with the set of Heidi and add some bling chandeliers, modern artwork and you’ll get the gist.
The properties facilities include a dreamy outdoor, heated swimming pool, large sauna, steam room, gym and private yoga classes.
The fantastic, discreet in-house dining team and staff are on hand 24 /7, meaning that you have all the facilities of a hotel within the comfort and privacy of your own chalet.
Pool and Spa
It’s not all about the skiing and trendy interiors though, the wellness offering is here pretty amazing too.
With a stunning heated outdoor pool, large hot tub (which accommodates about 12 people, we know we tried it!), a state of the art gym, luxurious steam, ice, sauna and hammam rooms, as well as beauty treatment rooms and yoga studio, you have no excuse not to feel zen.
Yoga
The day after our epic snow shoeing adventure we were invited to a blissful, morning stretch-yoga class. The view from the yoga deck of the snow filled world outside is so beautiful that you can’t help but feel the calming vibes.
It’s the perfect way to revive tired muscles and limber up for a day on the slopes or just as good for relaxing into a day of pampering massages and chill out time. Take your pick :)
Food and Drink
With a fantastic team of in-house chefs and staff on hand at all times there are no worries about going hungry.
On our trip I was treated to an epic ‘instagram goals’ breakfast on my balcony as seen in the picture above, through to oysters and champagne at the bonfire picnic in the evening. Keep scrolling to see that one…
Winter Bonfire Picnic
One of the loveliest experiences on the trip was the sunset, bonfire picnic. The wonderful guys at the hotel created a truly magical event for us.
We sat around the blazing campfire on fur covered seating and enjoyed oysters, champagne and nibbles under the winter stars. It was so romantic.
Winter Activities
Outside of the hotel there’s lots to see and do. In our short trip we managed to cram in a snow shoeing trek, skiing (obviously), a trip into town, cable car rides, eating out at a raclette and fondue restaurant and a trip up the mountain in a snow mobile.
Oh and that’s on top of all the pampering massages, heated pool dips and champagne hot tub action back at the chalet. But if all that sounds too active for you, why not just curl up with a good book and glass of vin chaud in front of the log fire at the house.
